Permissions and visibility

Permissions separate access to a Place, the actions you can take there, and the audience for each piece of information.

The active Account sets the context

If you belong to several Accounts, you always work from one active Account. That identity determines which Places, Contacts, and items you can view.

Switching Accounts does not mix data; it changes the context from which you are viewing it.

Accessing a Place

Place access means your Account can enter it. Your assigned level determines whether you can only view, contribute information, or also manage access.

Access to a Place does not automatically reveal every Card it contains.

Visibility of each Card

Each Card can narrow its audience within the people who already have access to the Place, separating general, project, and internal information.

Visibility can only reduce access; it never grants entry to someone without Place access.

Child Places and aggregated information

A building can group homes or other child spaces. Viewing the parent may aggregate information, but always respects access to every child Place.

The hierarchy supports navigation and aggregation; it cannot bypass visibility boundaries.
